Psychotherapy takes strength and a willingness to work through some distressing emotions and thoughts. In our sessions we will be addressing past and current experiences as well as interactions, which allow you to discover and process hidden feelings and patterns. This is a vital part of promoting change and growth. It is essential to helping you accomplish your goals. Between sessions, you may be asked to physically and mentally practice some tools or strategies. This participation also plays a crucial role in developing a peaceful mind.
Therapy helps a person enhance self-awareness and allows them to face everyday and personal challenges, without feeling out of control. It also creates a peaceful, accepting state of mind. Remember you are not alone in your journey. I will guide and provide you with the tools necessary to meet your personal goals.
What to Expect
➩ The first visit will be a one-hour session where I can learn about you and your goals and you can experience my therapeutic approach. It is important for you to feel safe and comfortable sharing your personal thoughts and stories with me. As such, this session is designed to explore the therapeutic bond and determine if we are a good fit.
➩ During the second visit, I will go over the disclosure statement, and the client information forms. In addition we will begin to create your personalized therapeutic plan.
➩ The third and all future sessions will implement the therapeutic plan as well review and monitor your goals to ensure we are making progress.
Keep in mind the content in steps 1-3 may be extended into other sessions depending on your history, personal challenges, or desire to revise your therapeutic plan.
